Artist Bixin’s handmade teapot has this quiet, unique and understated charm. The textural zhuni with a reddish undertone is so beautiful. His unconventional pot design does not conform to traditional teapot shape, it’s contemporary in form and appearance with a delicate artistry and details. This pot has a plumbish body coupled with a small spout and handle which make it really adorable, just want to hold it in my palm. I am ecstatic to own bixin’s teapot and will treasure it for a long time.

This tea set works well. The brewing vessel drains reasonably quickly, and not much tea remains in it after decanting. The case is very sleek, and the set fits inside well. The pot has a volume of about 150ml, and the included cups can comfortably contain 60ml and 35ml. The finish on the outside of the vessel is very rough. This roughness made the lid scrape quite unpleasantly against the pot. I used some polishing compound to grind it against the pot, and now it sits flat and smoothly. The rough finish also interferes with the pour. The tea stream is turbulent right after leaving the spout, so care must be taken not to spill any. I will attempt to polish the spout smooth somehow, but I haven't yet figured out how. The clay handles on my pot were attached slightly forward from the middle of the circumference, making holding it a little uncomfortable. I was under the impresion that the larger cup could contain the volume of the vessel, functioning as a fairness cup. As outlined in the beginning, it does not. I use a separate cup for that. Overall, I consider this pot to be about the right quality for its price. If I manage to fix the rough spout, it will be my choice for a travel set.

This is an excellent piece of work. It looks very cute, has a smooth, flowing finish, and its spray is very reliable. It is very stable, and sprays directly up. I tried using its tail as a lid rest like in the video, but my gaiwan lid is too large and flat to stay on top. It weighs 84g, and can fit about 20ml of water. This little whale has elevated my tea brewing experience. The packaging was very safe and secure, and I will be keeping the box it came in, it looks very nice. I asked China Tea Spirit to write a dedication, which they did exactly (going above my expectations, as my name includes a non-standard character which is often mistyped by foreigners).
