Discover Zheng Bixin’s handmade teapots, blending tradition with personal artistry. Unique shapes, and crafted with care—perfect for Chaozhou Gongfu tea lovers.
Zheng Bixin 郑壁鑫, a talented young ceramic artist from Chaozhou, now based in Jingdezhen. He’s not just a potter but also a passionate practitioner and advocate of Chaozhou Gongfu tea culture, bringing its spirit into every piece he creates.
Zheng’s work beautifully blends craftsmanship with a deep respect for tradition, expressing a unique “老味” (a sense of age, history, and timelessness) through his pots. Each teapot feels like it holds a story—of tea, culture, and the artist’s personal connection to the clay.
His exhibition highlights include:

“For a Chaozhou native, drinking tea is an essential daily ritual. Growing up in such an environment, I developed a deep affection for teapots. I prefer small, lightweight pots that suit my personal style, which I then refine to perfection.
My teapots are inspired by Chaozhou Gongfu tea traditions and rooted in classic shapes, but I integrate my own interpretations and adjustments. That’s why I often say my teapots are unconventional – they don’t align with any traditional teapot forms.
I constantly experiment, using different clays, textures, and shapes to express varied sensations and evoke diverse experiences. I want to explore the endless possibilities of teapots.
I’m not great at expressing myself with words, so I hope my creations can convey my understanding of beauty.”

How to Order
Zheng Bixin’s teapots are far from standard—they are reflections of his artistry, feelings, and mood at the time of crafting. Each pot is unique, carrying subtle variations that make it truly one of a kind. While Bixin draws inspiration from five distinct shapes, no two pots are ever identical. These shapes provide a foundation, but the final result is always a harmonious blend of tradition and his personal touch.
Step 1 – Select Your Shape
Bixin’s pots come in these 5 shapes
Step 2 – Select Your Clay
The most typical clays Bixin uses to craft his pots include Zhuni, Yellow Duanni and White Duanni, resulting in the red, light yellow and white color finish.
Step 3 – Understanding the Size
Bixin’s pot is around 110ml, though there could be some slight difference in each pot due to the handmade nature.
Step 4 – Important Notes Before Ordering
Each pot is handcrafted by Zheng Bixin, which means no two pots are exactly alike. Expect slight differences in size, shape, and texture—these are a testament to the artisan’s touch and the individuality of each piece.
Bixin personally crafts every teapot, ensuring the highest level of artistry and quality. Due to this process, the quantity is limited. If a pot is out of stock, rest assured Bixin will create your piece within 30 days. However, if you’re working with a tight timeline, we recommend contacting us in advance to confirm availability.
