This piece is designed and crafted by Zhang Yicheng Studio.
Established in the 1990s, this Yixing teapot studio has a rich history of craftsmanship and expertise. Founded by Zhang Yicheng, a respected collector and expert. Zhang Yicheng, known as one of the "Ten Kings of Pots" between local tea lovers, brings decades of expertise and passion to the studio. He is a consultant at Beijing Guobo Antique Authenticate Center and has an extensive personal collection of historical Yixing teapots.
The studio has employed over 120 skilled artisans, many of whom are now recognized masters in their own right. Artists such as Wang Yufei, Ma Junjie, Chen Minze, Zhu Zhouyi, and Feng Yanqi continue the legacy of excellence, crafting teapots with meticulous attention to detail. The studio has a significant collection of Yixing clay from the past and historical teapots, ensuring each piece is crafted from the authentic materials and with reference to some of the original teapot.
This Duanni teapot is made of a versatile clay that will work perfectly with all teas, giving them enough roundness and astringency but without reducing the floral notes. Its capacity is perfect if you are alone in your tea sessions and you do not particularly like drinking tea in thimbles. The lid is not easy to handle because the button is small but it fits perfectly into the harmony of the body of the teapot.
I use it with sheng ten to twenty years old and it is perfect.
A very good teapot at a fair price with a silky clay and a warm color.
