Originally created by the renowned Qing Dynasty potter Hui Yigong, this teapot naturally exudes an ethereal quality. The design of the spout, handle, and body showcases an elegant and refined beauty, conveying the potter’s emotions and aspirations. It expresses admiration for Xu Zhi of the Eastern Han Dynasty, also known as the “Nan Zhou Scholar.”

This piece by Master Feng captures the essence of the original with purity and refinement. The small teapot is crafted entirely from Xiao Mei Yao Zhuni clay, following Yigong’s original design. It resembles a palace lantern in shape, predominantly round, with a vibrant red hue that is pleasing to the eye. The teapot is full of charm, exuding classic and rustic elegance.

The neck, shoulders, and body of the teapot blend seamlessly, with proportions that perfectly highlight the slender and upright body. The spout curves naturally with a gradual change in thickness, striking a perfect balance between strength and softness. The handle transitions smoothly in a rounded arc, emphasizing strength in its form.
