“实垂垂，悬清秋，剖为瓢，醉斗室，咽者寿，饮无疆。”

Inspired by Master Wu Changshuo’s “Gourd Painting,” Wu Dongyuan, a master of yixing clay, the original author of the pot, etched an evocative poem onto his piece Yin Piao. This poem paints a vivid image of a serene afternoon in an autumn courtyard, surrounded by lush gourds, where one feels transformed into a tranquil hermit relishing the quiet solitude.

This pot is the fully handmade creation from Wang Haiyang. The pot itself embodies scholarly elegance, shaped like a flattened, plump gourd. Its spout and handle maintain the traditional Shi Piao style, while the knob is crafted to resemble a gourd stem, a nod to natural forms. This design’s finesse is evident in every aspect, right down to the three neatly arranged mini-gourd feet, making it a masterpiece of scholarly art.
