Description
The “菱花” I obtained from the kiln today is exactly as I imagined it to be. Its design embodies the simplicity and elegance of the Ming Dynasty style. Combined with the ancient technique of wood firing, it almost gives me a sense of time travel, as if I have truly created a tea pot from several hundred years ago.
The “菱花” is a 150ml Zini clay teapot. It has a single hole, a flat body, and a wide opening. The lid is adorned with a diamond flower pattern as decoration. Every element of the teapot is meticulously arranged and harmonious in the hands of Yao Laoshi (Teacher Yao). In my eyes, the exquisite purple clay material combined with the wood firing technique recreates the color and texture, making it highly valuable for collectors.
